Lagu tersebut diluncurkan bersamaan dengan video musik resmi yang tayang di kanal YouTube HYBE Labels serta telah tersedia di berbagai platform streaming musik.

Animal menjadi single kedua dari mini album terbaru KATSEYE bertajuk WILD yang dijadwalkan rilis pada 14 Agustus 2026. 

Lewat lagu ini, KATSEYE menampilkan konsep yang lebih berani, dewasa, dan penuh percaya diri dibandingkan karya-karya mereka sebelumnya.
